Yes. Board members can access a board pack via a secure link sent to their email address — no Edvance account or password required.

How it works

When you circulate a board pack, each board member receives a personalised secure link by email. Clicking the link gives them read access to the full pack — all sections, documents, and the generated board report — for the duration of the access window.

What board members can do via a pack link

• Read all sections of the pack
• Download attached documents and the board report
• View finance summaries and policy items

Access via secure link is read-only. Board members cannot edit school data, governance records, or finance figures through a pack link.

Full board member accounts

Dedicated board member accounts with ongoing access to Edvance are on the roadmap but not yet available in the current version. During the pilot phase, all board access is via secure pack links. If you have a specific access requirement, contact us at support@edvance.ie.
