How does finance connect to a board pack?

When preparing a board pack, Edvance automatically pulls the finalised finance figures for each section — budget, cashflow, and October Returns. The finance section of the board pack is assembled from your live, locked data rather than requiring you to copy figures manually.

What the board pack finance section shows

  • The source of each figure — which finalised version it came from and when it was finalised
  • Whether any section has become stale since the last finalise
  • A one-click link back to the relevant workspace if re-finalisation is needed before the pack is circulated

Stale finance blocks circulation

A board pack cannot be circulated if any finance section is stale — meaning figures have been updated since the last finalise. Edvance will flag the affected sections clearly and give you a direct link to resolve them. This is a hard guard: it exists to ensure the board never receives outdated figures without you being aware.

Previous cycle context

The Finance section of the board pack also shows context from the previous completed pack — so the board can see how the current position compares to where things stood at the last meeting.
