Board packs in Edvance represent individual board meetings. Each pack is the container for reports, decisions, and follow-up actions — organised into clear phases: Overview, Prepare Pack, Circulate, Meeting, and Follow-Up.
Step 1 — Confirm your next meeting
Make sure the next Board of Management meeting date is recorded in your School Profile. Edvance can suggest a date based on confirmed board minutes signals, but you are always in control of the final meeting record.
Step 2 — Create or open the upcoming pack
Go to Board → Board Packs. Use the Next Board Meeting section to open the pack for the upcoming meeting. If none exists, create a new pack for that date.
Step 3 — Review the preparation summary
Each pack shows a preparation summary: pack status, sections ready, items needing attention, and whether a board report is available. Finance, policy, and inspection sections draw on your live school data — so you can see at a glance what is ready and what is missing.
Step 4 — Add and review content
- Policies — Edvance surfaces policies due for review or discussion based on your policy workflow and any regulatory impacts since the last meeting.
- Finance — Confirm that finance imports and mappings are up to date so the pack includes your latest financial risk and oversight summary.
- Inspection and compliance — Inspection readiness indicators and compliance gaps are summarised for board-safe reporting.
Step 5 — Generate a board report (optional)
From the pack, generate a Board Report covering compliance summary, financial risk summary, and key actions required. The report is versioned and can be exported to PDF or DOCX for circulation.
The preparation panel updates continuously as you complete finance readiness, policy assurance, and inspection tasks — so you always know when the pack is truly ready for the board.
