Understanding board pack readiness

Board pack readiness in Edvance is a live signal that tells you how prepared a pack is for circulation to the board. It draws on data from across your school — policies, finance, inspection, and governance records — so you are never guessing whether a pack is ready.

What contributes to readiness

  • Finance — are your finance figures finalized and up to date? Stale figures block circulation until resolved.
  • Policies — are the policies included in this pack in a state suitable for board review or approval?
  • Inspection indicators — are there open compliance gaps or regulatory impacts that the board should be aware of?
  • Board report — has a board report been generated covering the key sections?

Reading the readiness summary

Each pack shows a preparation summary panel with: pack status, a count of sections ready vs needing attention, and specific items that are blocking readiness. Every blocking item has a direct link to the workflow needed to resolve it — you are never left guessing what to do next.

Circulating the pack

Once the pack is ready, you can circulate it to board members directly from Edvance. Board members receive a secure link to access the pack — no PDF export or email attachment required. Circulation is blocked if any finance section is stale, ensuring the board always sees accurate figures.
