Finance readiness describes how complete and up-to-date your finance data is for oversight and board reporting purposes. Edvance uses your imports, mappings, budgets, and risk snapshots to calculate a clear readiness signal for principals and boards.
What drives finance readiness
- Imports and mappings — whether recent transaction imports exist and whether account/category mappings have been reviewed and approved
- Budget completeness — whether budgets cover enough accounts and months to support meaningful variance analysis
- Timeliness of data — how recent your actuals are (imports more than a set number of days old are flagged as stale)
- Financial risk snapshot — the latest board-safe financial risk summary: score, risk level, completeness percentage, and key indicators
Where readiness appears
Finance readiness is visible on the Dashboard, the Finance page, and inside board packs. Each view shows a 'what this is based on' explanation so you always know which data sources are being used. The same unified finance oversight block is used across board reports and board pack readiness — ensuring the board always sees a consistent, honest picture of your school's financial position.
