Policy assurance in Edvance is an inspector-ready view that shows whether each policy has a complete, defensible governance chain. It brings together policy versions, consultation history, board approval, evidence, and regulatory impact into a single screen.
What the assurance view shows
- Assurance summary — current version, overall status (Ready, In progress, Attention required), and key next actions
- Consultation — consultation cycles, recipients, response counts, and written feedback summaries
- Board approval — approval details for the current version and any linked approval evidence
- Evidence register — linked documents by type (signed policy, signed minutes, risk assessments, etc.) with dates and download links
- Regulatory basis — linked regulatory sources and requirements, pending and reviewed impacts, and risk indicators
How it feeds inspection readiness
The assurance view directly feeds the Inspection Readiness screen. Missing evidence, incomplete consultation, or unrecorded board approvals all contribute to lower readiness scores and specific recommended actions. During an inspection visit, the assurance view lets you quickly demonstrate how each policy has been governed, reviewed, and approved over time.
