The Policy Document Review Workspace (PDRW) is the confirmation step that connects an uploaded document to your policy register. Every uploaded policy document passes through it before it can affect your governance status or readiness metrics.
What the PDRW does
- Links the document to the correct policy in your register
- Establishes the document's role (active policy document vs supporting evidence)
- Captures key metadata (review date, version notes)
Edvance uses AI-assisted analysis to pre-populate suggestions — for example, identifying which policy the document most likely relates to based on its content and filename. These suggestions are advisory only. You review and confirm (or correct) them before anything is applied to your register.
Re-running analysis
If you need to re-analyse a document after confirmation — for example, if a document was linked to the wrong policy — you can re-run analysis from the document detail view. Re-running is always available and governance-safe: it does not overwrite confirmed governance records until you explicitly confirm the new result.
After confirmation
Once you confirm a document in the PDRW, it becomes the current document for that policy and the governance workflow (consultation, board approval, etc.) becomes available for that version.
