All Edvance data is stored on infrastructure hosted in the European Union — specifically Microsoft Azure's Ireland and EU regions. No school data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.

Storage breakdown

• Documents (uploaded PDFs, spreadsheets, etc.) — stored in Azure Blob Storage, encrypted at rest and in transit
• Database records (policy register, governance records, finance data, user accounts) — stored in a PostgreSQL database on Azure, encrypted at rest and in transit

Backups

Database backups are taken regularly and retained in accordance with our data retention policy. In the event of a system failure, data can be restored to a recent point in time.

Third-party sub-processors

Edvance uses a small number of sub-processors (infrastructure providers) to deliver the service. A full list is available in our Data Processing Agreement. We do not use school data for advertising, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose outside delivering the Edvance service to your school.
