Why does Edvance show 'Not Ready'?

'Not Ready' indicators appear in Edvance when a domain does not yet have enough data to give a reliable readiness view. This is deliberate: Edvance prefers to be honest about missing data rather than guess.

Common causes

  • Onboarding incomplete — your School Profile has not been fully completed, so the Governance Snapshot and domain cards cannot compute accurate summaries
  • No documents uploaded — no recent board minutes, annual accounts, current budget, or core policies have been added, so evidence-based checks cannot run
  • No finance imports or mappings — finance readiness cannot be calculated without at least one import and completed mapping review
  • No board packs or decisions — board readiness cannot be summarised if no packs or decisions exist in the system

How to resolve it

Most 'Not Ready' states are accompanied by a 'What this is based on' or 'Fastest path to improve' explanation that tells you exactly which data is missing and links directly to the workflows needed to fix it.

Completing onboarding, uploading core documents, and running your first finance import will typically move all domains from 'Not Ready' to an honest readiness status within a single session.
